More about me
I am originally from Wellington, New Zealand.
As a young person, I had a range of interests and passions, especially in justice and government. I was also very interested in everything to do with people, exploring different cultures and travelling the world as much as possible! (I still am. 😉)
I have also long been interested in self-development, and I was lucky to discover yoga and meditation and other self-development tools at a young age. These tools helped me to overcome challenges and achieve success.
As a student I decided to study Law and Political Science and completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After a year working in my first role as an Investigator for the Office of the Ombudsman, I decided to go on my OE (overseas experience). Altogether, I travelled and worked overseas for 7 years.
I lived for 2 years in London where I trained as a TESOL teacher (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and taught English to students from abroad. A fun-filled experience! I then lived in Japan for 2 years teaching English to high school, junior high and elementary school students. Following this, I lived and worked for 4 years in Melbourne, Australia. A career highlight was working in the Office for the Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Youth.
Once back in New Zealand I worked for a number of years in government in several positions, including a very rewarding time as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Office of Treaty Settlements where I had the privilege of working on the Whanganui River Settlement negotiations.
A few years ago, I realised the area I was working in just didn’t feel right any more. I did some inner work, a good amount of analysis and decided I wanted to make a change.
From this work I realised I wanted to work with people directly. And I wanted to help people, in a real way, achieve their goals.
I now really enjoy my life and career coaching practice. It offers me fun, joy, flexibility, variety and creativity.
I would love to help you achieve your goals. If you think we could be a great fit, please get in touch.
